PACE Conference cardiology Sept 2018

“PACE” (Conference on Heart Rhythm Devices) was organized by the Department of Cardiology, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University) along with Indian Heart Rhythm Society (IHRS) and also under the aegis of Cardiological Society of India (CSI), Chennai Chapter and Association of Physicians (API) of India on 29th and 30th September 2018.

Dr.S.Thanikachalam, Professor Emeritus of Cardiology, The Chairman & Director, CCC was the president of PACE 2018 and course directors were Dr.C.Narasimhan, Director, Care Group of Hospitals, Hyderabad and Dr.J.Balachander, Professor Emeritus of Cardiology, JIPMER Hospital, Pondichery. Dr.T.R.Muralidharan was the Organising Secretary for the programme.

Dr.J.Radhakrishnan, IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt., Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Tamil Nadu, Chennai inaugurated PACE 2018 Conference and initiated the celebrations of World Heart Day on 29th September 2018 (Saturday) evening at 5.00pm at Carnation, Hotel Feathers, Ramapuram, Chennai.

Dr.Vijayaraman Pugazhendhi from US was the International faculty. Senior Cardiologists across the country delivered the lectures and 150 delegates attended the conference.

The conference covered basics of device therapy to the most recent update in the field of pacing like “ His Bundle Pacing ”.
