DHRUVA, IKTAARA & TANDAV ’18

With the grace and guidance of our Chancellor, Pro Chancellor and Vice Chancellor, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research Annual Sports and Cultural fest hosted by Warhawks batch (MBBS 2015-2016) commenced with the Inaugural ceremony of Dhruva’18 on August 29,2018 with Mr. Chandraseakarn – Assistant Director of Enforcement Directorate, Chennai and Former International Volley Ball Player gracing the occasion as our honourable Chief guest.

Over the span of one month, Dhruva included 15 different Sports and Athletics events with over 35 groups participating including both boys and girls.

On the cultural aspect, Iktaara’18 was conducted on September 1,3 and 4 with over 43 events including competitions in categories of Dance, Music, Writing, Oratorical Skills, Puzzles and Cooking. The Winners of the Final Showdown were Ms. Varsha from Pioneers and Mr.Boonson from Falcons. The following week Tandav’18 commenced to mark the biggest, most competitive battle we have witnessed. With three evenings dedicated to Western group dance, Fusion Band Music and Indian Group Dance respectively, the stage was set on fire and the audience and judges alike were left in awe of the talent of our students.

To acknowledge and appreciate each students effort, a final Closing ceremony and Prize distribution was conducted on September 28 where Gladius (B.Sc Sports Science) were declared the overall winners of Dhruva’18 and Salvadors (MBBS 2016-17) were declared the overall winners of Iktaara and Tandav’18.
