REPORT-75th Independence Day Inauguration Ceremony
On 12th March 2021, the members of the University Student Council organized the inaugural ceremony of the 75th Independence Day celebration at the dental auditorium at 2pm. It was hosted by Ms Jessika Adeline, C.R.I Dental College. The program started on an auspicious note by seeking the blessings of the almighty in the form of a prayer song followed by the SRIHER anthem.
Ms Salikaa Lakshmanan, the President of the University Student Council spoke on the importance of the event. She expressed her gratitude to the Dean-Students for encouraging the University Student Council to conduct this program.
An introduction about the theme of the program was given by Ms Jessika Adeline. Dr H Tamizhchelvan, Professor and Head of Oral Pathology addressed the gathering and spoke about the relevance of Dandi March with an elite presentation. Professor Dr. S Sathasivasubramanian, Vice Principal of Dental College spoke about the importance of Salt March and interacted cheerfully with the audience.
Following this, members of the University Students Council and Students from different Faculties of SRIHER spoke about various events which led to the country’s Freedom. The program also involved 2 musical events filled with patriotic songs which entertained the audience. The Vote of Thanks was given by the Vice President of the University Student Council, Mr. Sri Kumar after which the program concluded with the National anthem
